As the world grows afflicted by challenges such as poverty, inequality and climate change, we feel the urge to make a stop to this and challenge the way to do things. Steer leadership to social innovation, so we can gradually make the world more socially and environmentally sustainable, and create a positive impact in the way people live. 

That's why we focus on positive leadership research, knowledge and insights that drive society towards progress. We join forces with key partners to also conduct social innovation projects that help in the transition to a more sustainable world.

Our mission is to co-create societal progress and organizational performance by pairing action and academic understanding.

Nova SBE has come a long way in the social scope

Since 2010, Nova SBE is pushing towards social impact, with the mission of being a community dedicated to the development of talent and knowledge that impacts the world.

The Leadership for Impact Knowledge Center is a key piece to achieve that mission, having created projects and programs such as the Master’s in Impact Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the Inclusive Community Forum, the Social Leapfrog, amongst other impactful projects.

Leadership for Impact’s focus on societal problems

Since January 2018, the Nova SBE Leadership for Impact Knowledge Center is leading the way in Nova SBE´s ecosystem to face societal problems. In the next 5 years, LFI will be addressing the following social issues (and their respective Sustainable Development Goals):

  • Inclusion and Diversity – SDGs 4, 5, 8, 10 & 16
  • Strenghtening the Social Sector – SDGs 16 & 17
  • Education for the Future – SDGs 4 & 8
  • Well-being and Health Prevention – SDG 3
  • Inequality and Poverty traps in developed countries – SDGs 1 & 10
