Nova SBE Summer School
ProAction 2021 Edition: Climate Action
"We must step up with the will, the resources, and the coordination to achieve the Global Goals. Nova SBE's brand new ProAction Summer School will challenge corporate leaders, experts, and students to work together to become the architects of a sustainable future. Only a partnership of responsible corporate leadership and inspired future generations can accomplish the goals in time." – Daniel Traça, Dean of Nova SBE.
It is crunch time. Progress has been made but nowhere near enough to achieve the Global Goals. As the negative consequences of inaction become more visible and threaten our livelihoods each passing year, we need to turn the tide and show proaction.
We need to make a real difference, and you can be part of it. Join the 2021 Edition: Climate Action of our ProAction Summer School from 21 June 2021 until 2 July 2021 in Carcavelos, near Lisbon. You will be confronted with a Challenge that is daring but feasible and scalable. It won't be easily solved, but it has the potential of positively impacting the lives of the broader community. Your ideas and inspiration will be irreplaceable to find solutions that create a long-lasting impact. For this to happen, Challenge Owners will implement your idea in the real world and report on its implementation a year later at the Estoril Conferences in 2022. Together we can take action to combat climate change and its consequences.
The Challenges
The Global Goals are interconnected – often, the key to success to one of them will involve tackling issues more commonly associated with another. To ensure that the overarching Challenge of Climate Action is addressed through a holistic and systematic approach, our summer school is organized around three transversal themes. You will look at Climate Action either from a perspective of transforming cities, advancing green growth, or safeguarding our oceans.
While you will work on your selected stream, there will also be forms of interconnection, feedback, and shared visions.
