The study showed that the measure “has had a positive effect and the program has been successful in the number of people who have been using it and in terms of companies that were created.” The findings indicate that the measure favours entrepreneurship and increases the likelihood of creating self-employed jobs. “For every thousand euros made available by the program, the probability of starting a business has increased by 16%, which is a very significant effect,” says Miguel Ferreira, noting that “in the general population, the probability of starting a business is only 1%.”
