Promoted by Nova | 10 September 2023 Nova SBE Consolidates 15th Position Worldwide in the Financial Times Master's in Management Ranking

The results of the 2023 Financial Times Masters in Management ranking, which annually lists the best Master’s in Management in the world, have been announced - Nova SBE maintained its outstanding position of national leadership and consolidated its 15th position worldwide.

Remaining as the only Portuguese school in the top 15 worldwide, Nova SBE adds this excellent result to the others recently achieved in the Financial Times rankings: Executive Education, where it reached the best position ever achieved by a Portuguese school - 18th place worldwide and 15th in Europe; and International Master’s in Finance - 11th position worldwide. The results now obtained not only affirm Nova SBE's national leadership, but also reinforce its place in the international context, confirming the school's commitment to excellent teaching and research staff, and innovative programs.

For the results achieved in the world's Top 15 in the Master's in Management ranking, it is worth highlighting the score obtained in the 'Annual Salary' criteria, which registered an increase of 25% compared to the previous year. Also, in the 'Employability within 3 months' metric, Nova SBE reaches a percentage of 97%.

Pedro Oliveira, Dean of Nova SBE, highlights the school's performance and results: 'The consolidation of Nova SBE's international vocation is a reality, and we could not be more proud of the path we have taken. In the global era we live in, it is the students themselves who 'demand' international experiences, and the fantastic results we obtained in this ranking in the main international parameters - 41% 'international teaching staff', and 13th position in the 'international labor mobility' criterion - confirm that Nova SBE has an internationally recognized reputation for excellence.

I would also like to highlight the classification obtained by Nova SBE in the "Carbon Footprint" criterion (8th place), which demonstrates that not only are we actors and defenders of sustainability but also justifies our strategic investment in this knowledge area.

However, we are not the only Portuguese school featured in these rankings, and so there is an opportunity to create an education cluster among the leading Portuguese business schools. These schools play a fundamental role in changing mentalities and educating young people and executives with the skills necessary for business success and a more strategic and informed vision of what needs to be done.’ concludes Pedro Oliveira.

The 2023 Masters in Management Financial Times ranking evaluates and lists the top 100 Master’s in Management from around the world, analyzing 18 indicators to classify the quality of the Master’s and the school in three main dimensions: career progress of graduates, diversity of the school, and experience International.

The school believes that the results of the current ranking are proof of the vision it defends: business schools with the responsibility of being accessible to all, contributing to social mobility, transforming students from different backgrounds into future leaders, and placing them in positions of leadership and impact in public and private organizations.
