Freemover Students

Students interested in spending a semester or a year abroad without participating in exchange programs can enroll as Freemover students at Nova SBE, choosing among 50+ courses available every semester.

Application

  • Academic transcript
  • CV
  • ID Document (either Passport or National ID card)
  • Professional passport photo
  • Confirmation of English Level B2, TOEFL 72 or IELTS 6 (a declaration from your Home University is also accepted)
  • Freemover students may apply for courses at a Bachelor’s and Master’s Level;
  • Freemover students are allowed to take classes and examinations up to 32 ECTS per semester, subject to the availability of places in classes;
  • To enroll for Master’s elective courses, students must have completed three years of a Bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS);
  • However, Freemover students are not registered as regular university students and are not entitled to complete a university degree at Nova SBE.
  • Freemover students are required to organize all aspects of their study abroad independently – admission, enrollment and non-academic requirements such as visas, accommodation and also traveling, living, and academic expenses.
  • For Bachelors Level Courses:
     
    • European Students: €2000 per semester
    • Non-European Students: €3750 per semester
  • For Master's Level Courses: €5000 per semester
  • For both levels courses: €5000 per semester
  • NB: Fee to be applied regardless of the number of courses

Fall and Full Year 1 January until 27 April at 03:00 PM (Lisbon time) | Results will be announced in May/June September
Spring 1 July until 27 September at 03:00 PM (Lisbon time) | Results will be announced in October/November Late January/February
