⏳ Get ready for Winter School - we're in Countdown mode!

On Tuesday, 20th of February, Professor Antonieta Cunha e Sá, Scientific Director of the NOVA SBE Environmental Economics Knowledge Center and Ughetta Molin Fop, Nova School of Business and Economics's project manager of OceanSchool welcomed the Portuguese students that participated in the Winter School at NHH in a Field Lab Session.

This Field Lab is organized serving as an integrative platform of applied research projects to be developed by students under the co-supervision of experienced researchers and practitioners of the consortium institutions. This is particularly relevant, as it will allow students to consolidate knowledge on specific topics of Blue Growth while also producing innovative applied research on relevant policy questions for both Portugal and Norway.

The OceanSchool is a pioneer pedagogical project in Blue Growth resulting from a partnership between Nova School of Business and Economics, IPMA Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera Portugal (IPMA) and Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen, Norway, funded by EEA Grants Portugal*.

The OceanSchool allows for the exchange of students and researchers between the two institutions. The first exchange took place at NHH, from January 8th to January 19th, where 11 selected Portuguese students participated.

From February 26th to March 1st, the winter program will be held at Nova School of Business and Economics.

Finally, the Summer Intensive Course will be held at NovaSBE in the last week of June and the first of July 2024. It is expected that at least 8 master’s theses will be jointly coordinated during the program.
