A Farewell to Catarina Partidário
Society | 04 October 2022 A Farewell to Catarina Partidário

It is with deep sadness that we received the news of the passing of the founder and entrepreneur Catarina Partidário, one of Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE)'s many talents.

Catarina Partidário was a symbol of Nova SBE's determined and curious minds. She graduated in Economics in 2008, having found and promoted a space for people and dialogue alongside the Nova SBE Students' Union, through which she found friends for life.

Catarina began her career, which was on the rise, working at Deloitte as a Strategy and Operations Consultant, and then moving to Nest – National Employment Savings Trust in London, where she was a Strategic Planning Manager and Marketing Manager. After these initial career years, Catarina proved that true talent is one that believes in its ability to improve and the means through which it can create meaningful impact.

Caring to make a difference, after working for Nest – National Employment Savings Trust, Catarina worked for CDI Portugal and fought for gender equality with Lean In Portugal until she founded her own business project, Mum's Cooking, which was aimed at providing healthy food easily and for accessible prices.

Catarina Partidário is an example of how a resilient soul is one with never-ending enthusiasm and commitment and why Nova SBE is still, since its creation, growing boldly.

We appreciate the chapters she wrote alongside Nova SBE, and we will make sure her story is a poignant testament to what a true leader of tomorrow is – bold, determined, and inspiring.
