Given the worsening of the pandemic and how the population worldwide now has to deal with newfound realities such as working from home, home-schooling of children, and lack of physical contact with family, friends, and colleagues, etc., Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) decided to promote, once again, the Nova SBE Well-Being Week reiterating how important it is to look after our mental, as well as our physical, health.

From March 1 to March 5, the 2021 Nova SBE Well-being Week took place to help the Nova SBE community and society, in general, cope with the newfound significant changes to our daily lives and the overwhelming feelings that it may have caused us all.

This year’s edition took place online, and each day of the week was dedicated to a different central topic. These were Well-being at Home, Mental Health, Body & Mind, Food & Nutrition, and Well-being at Work, and the event’s agenda had both informative and dynamic sessions and activities.

Proving how it’s possible to grow boldly, most activities involved part of the Nova SBE community – staff, faculty, and students – in informative and guided sessions. These focused on cultivating our peace of mind, nurturing relationships, reducing stress, and dynamic talks on being active and eating nutritious food every day.

Knowing how well-being is vital to feel mentally well and work productively, especially in these uncertain times we face again, Nova SBE has published the 2021 Nova SBE Well-being Week sessions in THRIVEthe exclusive online platform for the Nova SBE community to search and use the resources made available to lead a healthy and positive lifestyle.

If you’re part of the Nova SBE community and you would like to further your interest, share your experiences and hardships, or if you want to take an active role in helping out, then reach out to the Student Development & Well-Being Team by emailing sdw@novasbe.pt.
