At the beginning of the year, the world faced a pandemic that heightened today’s Global Goals and the level of urgency they require. Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) thus decided it was time to show its commitment to transform the world in responsible and inclusive ways. Amidst the global COVID-19's high peak, the school launched an online platform – entitled We All Have a Role to Play – where anyone could gather information and co-create innovative projects that could help mitigate the consequences of COVID-19 and also pave its way to create a meaningful ecosystem of progress to the world.
Yet despite the immense challenges to sustainable development we are facing and in the quest to be the “School for a Better Future”, Nova SBE is launching the new Nova SBE Role to Play. This is a groundbreaking impact platform aiming at showcasing how the school needs to adapt to the world’s multiple challenges by putting sustainability at the center of its impact model and providing a blueprint to reach for peace, prosperity, and a human-ecosystem equilibrium now and into the future.
This integrated new platform showcases how the Nova SBE community is contributing with knowledge, engaging and creating initiatives to address the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and builds on its community’s expertise to disseminate SDG-oriented expertise and best practices, thus aiming to activate a global call to action that drives transformative change. That’s why Nova SBE wants to encourage and inspire everyone to unravel their Role to Play.
Already live, the platform is accessible and provides access to rigorous and demanding expertise, scientific insights, and impactful projects and resources that will help society create and map meaningful, inclusive, and sustainable solutions that can transform the world. This launch also reinforces how the school is making the Sustainable Development Goals its official language.
Through this new medium, which starts with more than 200+ content entries, Nova SBE shows that achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 has always been part of what the school stands for and calls on everyone to create an SDG Journey. The Nova SBE community can therefore contribute with knowledge and experiences that add value and civil society can help launch an initiative and enable the development of new business models, products and services.
