Nova SBE is a place where you can dare to grow boldly; open space for a new way of learning and sharing. Nova SBE student clubs are a vital ingredient of an inspiring community. One of our 30+ clubs is Nova SBE Rowing Student Club.

On September 8, Nova SBE Rowing Student Club became national champions in the C2x Masters (men). The Club also won second place, represented by Nuno Anta (CGG 2018-19) who teamed up with Pedro Vicente – Professor at Nova SBE.

Overall, the Nova SBE Rowing Student Club achieved third place in the women's and sixth place in the men's, in the national ranking. These are incredible achievements given it’s only their first year.

The ambitious results achieved help take sports at Nova SBE to a completely new level. With champions like these, history could be in the making if you choose to support them! The Nova SBE Rowing Student Club is looking for sponsors, to help kit them out with the necessary equipment. Be part of this winning team and help make history so we can continue to write about it!

The Nova SBE Rowing Student Club was created when the school moved from Campolide to Carcavelos, at the beginning of the 2018/19 academic year. It is dedicated to coastal rowing, taking advantage of the optimal conditions of the Oeiras-Carcavelos coast. It was launched in partnership with the Portuguese Rowing Federation (Federação Portuguesa de Remo – FPR) and Oeiras Marina and is run by the Nova SBE Students’ Union but is open to the entire community (students, staff, alumni, and faculty).

After a full year of training, the Nova SBE Rowing Student Club participated in the Portuguese Championship of Coastal Rowing, which had five rounds (in Berlengas-Peniche, Setúbal, São Martinho do Porto, Vila Praia de Âncora-Caminha, and Barreiro) during the Summer.
