The Primus Inter Pares award has opened its applications to distinguish the best Portuguese students in the areas of economics, management, and engineering.
The award is part of the Social Corporate Responsibility Policy of Santander Totta Bank, which has as its main operational area the support provided to knowledge and higher education and is currently carrying out its 16th edition.
This is a venture of Banco Santander and the weekly publication Expresso, which elects the three future leaders of the economics, management, and engineering areas and awards them a fully paid MBA in a national or international business school. From the list of choices, there is IESE, in Barcelona, IE Business School, in Madrid, The Lisbon MBA (from Católica-Lisbon and Nova SBE), ISCTE and ISEG (in Lisbon) and also Porto Business School. Fourth and fifth places are awarded a post-graduate course.
To apply, students must be of Portuguese nationality, be less than 26 years old, and be on the last year of their Master’s, having a Bachelor’s in Economics, Business Management, or Engineering.
Last year’s edition, Inês Montalvão Cunha (Bachelor’s in Economics and Master’s in Finance at Nova SBE) and Inês Pedro dos Santos (Bachelor’s in Management at Católica-Lisbon and Master’s in Management at Nova SBE) were two of the winners, being awarded second and third places respectively.
This year, the applications run until February 23rd. Nova SBE students who are interested can read the regulation here and head over to the Careers Office (Cascais Academic Hall, floor B126), where they will help you collect all the necessary documents, request the issuance of certificates for free, and even send applications to Egor. This is the company responsible for sorting out the applications and for organizing several tests of different scopes to elect the five finalists who will be presented to the jury.
