First things first

Academic Background
Candidates from any Bachelor’s program. However, if you have limited quantitative skills you may need to complete bridging courses in August.
For International Master’s in Management candidates, mobility experience is required by the end of the program: a ten week internship abroad, a credited international study tour or an international exchange semester.

No knowledge of Portuguese is required. To be successful, candidates should have level B2 English or have done a majority of their undergraduate education in English.
Candidates to International Master’s in Management must have, by the end of their program, proficiency in three languages: native language, English (C1) and a second foreign language. The additional foreign language must achieve the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Professional Experience
Professional experience is NOT a requirement to be admitted. Candidates with more than two years of professional experience should consider applying for an MBA.

Applications open February 1st, 2019 and close on May 1st, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. (GMT. Greenwich Mean Time).

  • Application fee payment receipt (non-refundable fee of 51€ for all applicants) 
  • Any other documents in English that you think may enrich your application, such as a motivation letter, reference letter, language certificates and/or GMAT/GRE

Bachelor diploma (if already received) in English. Applicants without a diploma are obligated to provide Admissions with this document before the start of their Masters.

You can only apply once within the three application rounds.

Step One — Online application
The admissions process starts upon submission of the online application along with the relevant documents.
Confirmation of enrolment will be subject to presentation of an official graduation certificate within the first month of classes.

Step Two — Interview
General Admission: Candidates may have to attend a Skype interview with either Alumni or faculty designed to examine the information provided in the application and evaluate the applicant’s eligibility and suitability for the program.

Double Degree: Candidates already accepted into a Nova SBE Master’s program and successfully pre-screened are invited to an interview in April or May.

CEMS MIM:  Candidates accepted into a Nova SBE Master’s program and successfully pre-screened are invited to an assessment designed to evaluate academic potential, international orientation, and communication skills.

Step Three — Decision
Following the application review, the Admissions Committee will make its final decision based on all information available. Selection decisions will be taken in three rounds/periods: Early March, early April and early May (for students applying by the end of February, end of March, and end of April, respectively). 

Step Four — Enrolment
Accepted candidates will have to pay a 1000€ non-refundable enrolment fee, to be deducted from the total tuition fee. 

No exceptions or late payments will be accepted.

Enrolment in the Double Degree and CEMS MIM programs becomes effective after payment of an additional 1500€ non-refundable fee, to be deducted from the total tuition fee.

Admitted students can defer for up to one year. However, they must pay the enrolment fee to guarantee their place and a re-entry fee in February the following year. Also, they must inform the school no later than one month prior to the beginning of term. Not respecting this deadline or making an unsuccessful request to defer will require submission of a new application.
