News | 15 September 2021 Preliminary results of the fourth round of the survey about distance learning

The Nova SBE Economics of Education Knowledge Center released the preliminary results of the fourth round of the survey about distance learning directed to educators and teachers of Primary and Secondary Education (https://kc-economics-of-education.github.io/ensino-distancia-recuperacao-aprendizagens/), only available in Portuguese.

From the 674 responses received between July 3rd and September 12th, 2021, it is now possible to verify that the perspective about the recovery of these learning losses greatly varies from teacher to teacher. Furthermore, we note that private-school teachers tend to be more optimistic than those that teach in public schools. Finally, around 3 out of every 4 teachers predicts that their students will need some time to recover from the learning loss during this school year, and 6 out of 10 teachers do not believe that all their student will recover the learning lost during the pandemic crisis.
