On the 8th – 9th of July 2021, the XXIX Meeting of the Economics of Education Association took place in Zaragoza. This edition of the conference organized by the Economics of Education Association counted with three members from the Economics of Education Knowledge Center, two of which received the first and second awards of the María Jesús San Segundo Award (for the best papers presented by young authors):

  • Pedro Freitas, “High-stake exams change teacher grading standards: evidence from a policy reform”;
  • Afonso Leme, “The effect of a compulsory schooling leaving age increase on students’ educational paths”;
  • Miguel Nunes, “Regional Disparities in Socioeconomic Based Achievement Gaps”.
