Patient Innovation has been nominated by the United Nations as an example of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Good Practice. Patient Innovation is honored to be considered as one of the breakthroughs that are having a global impact. Its inclusion in the SDG Good Practices was justified by its contribution to two of the UN’s SDGs: #3 (Good health and Well-Being) and #9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). Back in 2016, Patient Innovation was recognized by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon as one out of five projects selected as examples of "Commitments to Collective Action” at a Summit in New York City.
