From June 14th to 25th, 2021, Nova SBE sponsors the Summer Institute in Computational Social Science, taking place virtually (https://sicss.io/2021/lisbon/). SICSS is supported by the Sloan Foundation, Russell Sage Foundation and Social Science Research Council and started in Princeton in 2017. The aim of the SICSS is to bring together undergraduate students, postdoctoral researchers and beginning professors interested in computational social sciences. The event is for social scientists and data scientists. The summer school is co-organized by Prof. Qiwei Han from Nova SBE and Prof. Filipa Reis da Catolica CLSBE. As the only program of its kind in the Iberian Peninsula, we intend to provide free training for social science researchers who wish to learn essential knowledge in the emerging area of social computing sciences, taught by leading scientists from Princeton and Duke universities.
