Nova SBE in a international study about the commitment to the pandemic preventive measures
Research | 08 June 2020 Nova SBE in a international study about the commitment to the pandemic preventive measures

Nova SBE with the Universities of Hamburg, Rotterdam Erasmus and Bocconi, carried out a large-scale survey in seven European countries to observe the population's commitment and acceptance to the pandemic preventive measures. It was possible to verify that the Portuguese are very concerned with the overload of the health system, with the economic recession and with unemployment and its impact on small companies. The Portuguese showed a great degree of confidence in the information provided by national medical institutions and the World Health Organization (WHO), something that no longer occurs to the same extent when the information originates from the government and the EU in the context of the outbreak of COVID -19. In general, the Portuguese population approved government measures to contain the virus: almost 80% explicitly supported the measures taken by governments, to combat the pandemics.
