Diogo Mendes (Nova SBE), Cláudia Custódio (Imperial College London) and Daniel Metzger (Rotterdam School of Management) published the study “The Impact of Financial Education of Managers on Medium and Large Enterprises - The Randomized Controlled Trial in Mozambique”. Diogo Mendes, explained to RDP Africa's Geração Digital, that “there is a positive link between the management capacity of each manager and the performance of companies.” This study attempts to isolate the impact of education on this link between managers, management capacity and the performance of companies. Also aims to ascertain that financial literacy, financial capacity and experience are able to transfer the greatest management capacity to the entire company. The study analyzed the impact of an intensive Executive Training program in Finance on management practices and subsequent profitability and performance “and we verified that the executives who participated in the course intend to implement some changes, namely at the level of working capital and risk management.”
