Research | 08 June 2020 Results of the second round of the Survey about distance learning

Nova SBE Economics of Education Knowledge Center released the preliminary results of the second round of the Survey about distance learning directed to educators and teachers from the Basic and Secondary Education. It is now possible to verify that the majority of teachers have developed distance learning activities, either through videoconferencing classes or by sending papers. Teachers report that they are working an average of 11 additional hours per week due to the context of distance learning. These professionals continue to report that an average of 15% of students do not have access to computer resources. This raises the need to assess which students had incomplete access to curriculum content during this period, and which should be flagged at the beginning of the next school year.
