In an interview with Lusa, they explained that almost half of the respondents in a study at the Universidade Nova said they were already very concerned about the Covid-19 epidemic before the declaration of the state of emergency, when a quarter was already in isolation. The investigation focused on a sample of 4,682 people who responded to 'online' questions posted on social media in the period between 13 and 19 March. Not being a representative sample of the Portuguese population, it was possible to notice that almost three quarters of the people who answered the survey "are women who live in the district of Lisbon." It was also possible to find “a very high level of concern among young people [78% of people under 25 years old]”, although not as high as in the other older population groups, which was between 86% and 89%. Of the respondents, 24% said they were already in isolation and of those, 68% were on teleworking after the closure of their workplaces.
